Just Another Wednesday

This daylight until 9:00 pm thing is REALLY messing up Keadon's sleep schedule! For the past few nights, I have had absolutely no luck getting him to sleep before 10:00 pm. He's exhausted, but because it's light outside, he thinks it's time to play. I admit it is pretty cute when I hear him calling "buh-da, buh-da" because he wants Logan to play, but the kid needs to chill out and go to sleep. Don't worry though, because when 6:00 am rolls around, he's ready for his day regardless of how much or little sleep he's had. :-)

He is still quite the cutie though and keeps me laughing constantly. I'm pretty sure he's going to be a big prankster as he grows older, and I have a sneaking suspicion we'll probably be getting a few notes sent home from school in the future. :-) Keadon is still super short, but I love it because it feels like I get to keep my sweet "baby" for a lot longer. Sometimes I find myself just watching him since he never seems to stop moving. It's really funny to see all the different things he comes up with to keep himself entertained. Kids are the best, aren't they?

While I was cleaning the kitchen this morning, Keadon decided to build a tower with the dishes I just put away. He was very into his creation. Too cute.

I FINALLY had a chance to eat breakfast a few hours after we woke up, but even though he'd already eaten a ton, Kead decided he wanted some of mine. He just walked right up to my plate, grabbed part of my waffle as if it were his, and started chowing down. (Those are his last-minute pajamas by the way.)

The Weekend

We've been getting to know some really great families lately. It's been nice to FINALLY be able to go outside and socialize! (It's amazing how much time becomes available when school isn't in the way.) This past weekend, we were actually even able to have friends over for dinner. :-) Their oldest is about a year younger than Logan, but the two still get along really well! In fact, all four kids play wonderfully together. We only live a few houses apart, so it helps me not miss the community feel of our last home as much.

Park with Dad

Today was such a beautiful day, the boys and I decided to go to the park. Ross came home as we were getting ready to leave and decided to take some time out of his afternoon to come with us. His job is quite demanding for the most part, so it was nice to spend some quality time together as a family. The weather was absolutely perfect, and we had a blast.

Easter - Part 2

We had a lot of fun dying Easter eggs Saturday night. At first, Keadon didn't want anything to do with the process. However, once he figured out what was going on, he wouldn't stop! Any egg he touched was dipped in most, if not all, the colors. :-) It was fun to see him and Logan having such a good time.

Easter morning was a different experience, unfortunately. Neither one of the kids cared even the slightest bit about their baskets until awhile later. In fact, Logan even got mad about a couple of the items in both his and Keadon's baskets! haha. They did have fun finding the eggs though, so we at least saw some smiles for a few minutes. (I had a couple more pictures, but I couldn't get them to upload to the blog...)

Easter - Part 1

The Friday before Easter, my friend put together an Easter egg hunt at the park near her house. We each brought a dozen eggs per kid (and each child was supposed to find no more than 12), but somehow Logan, Keadon, and a few other kids only ended up with 5-8 eggs. :-) It was still a lot of fun, and I'm glad we have so many great people in our ward!
