Fall Beauty

We decided to take a trip up the canyon yesterday afternoon and stopped at a small park not to far from the entrance. The colors of the leaves were so beautiful, and Logan had a lot of fun playing and exploring. Once again, I took way too many pictures, but oh well. :-)

Keadon just wouldn't give up that hand...even to show his cute smile!

So this was a cute picture--in theory. I guess the blanket just tastes too good!

Halloween Decorating...Sort of...

My mom sent a box of Halloween treats and decorations (thanks Mom!), and Logan was really excited to put up the gel decals. Logan ended up taking them off the window a few minutes after he put them up, as he decided it would be much more fun to play with them. :-) He also thought the vampire teeth were really cool!

Family Night

Monday afternoon/evening, we decided to take Logan to the Kangaroo Zoo for family night. We'd never been before, but from what we'd heard about the place, it sounded like something Logan would really enjoy. The place itself is really cool! It has several different inflatable slides and bouncers, and there is seating for those parents who don't want to follow their kids around. Logan LOVED the "zoo" and threw a huge fit when we left. :-)

Weekend Rejuvenation

This past weekend was General Conference for our church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints). It's held every April and October and is a time when the president of the Church, as well as other leaders, gather together to speak on whatever topic(s) they feel inspired to discuss. I'm still amazed at the fact our leaders provide their selfless service in the church for free. Many of the callings are so time consuming, and yet, they continue to magnify whatever position to which the Lord has called them.

Conference weekends are so wonderful! I love the peaceful spirit the speakers and music bring into my heart. I especially enjoyed the messages about being receptive to the Spirit (and making sure one is living worthily to receive such promptings), as well as those about showing more love to those around us. I think we all get caught up in the day-to-day activities of our lives at times and forget we are here, in part, to bless the lives of others.

I'm grateful to be a member of a church centered around Jesus Christ, and I know it is the duty of each one of us, regardless of our religion, to go out of our way to help those in need. I know the Savior lives, and I have a testimony of His presence in our lives. I know that through the Atonement, he has experienced all the heartache, physical/emotional pain, etc. we will go through in our lives, and I'm grateful to know I can turn to Him for comfort from one who really understands. I love my Father in Heaven, and I love my Savior, Jesus Christ. God has bestowed more amazing blessings upon me than I could have ever imagined, and I pray I continue to live a life worthy of those blessings.

A New Friend

Today, Logan was able to have his friend Jace over for a few hours, and the two had tons of fun! They played really cute together and only had a couple of, shall we say, "toddler moments." :-) It's nice having a little boy Logan's age in the ward again, and it's great he lives so close!

Logan took this picture of Jace all by himself, so I thought I'd put it up here. :-)

The boys look so funny in this pic!
You might not be able to tell, but they are both saying "cheese."

Well, that lasted long...

Ross vetoed the private blog status, so you can all thank him next time you see him. :-)

A New Goal

As one can easily tell from the previous posts, the main purpose for this blog has been to provide pictures of the boys to those who do not see them often. Very little time has been spent on the appearance and verbal content, but I'm going to try to become a little better. With school keeping me very busy, I don't know how successful I'll be at fulfilling this small "goal," so I guess we'll just see what happens...

Visiting Grandma and Grandpa Shelton

On Saturday and Sunday, we visited my grandparents in Wendover, NV. (Wendover is right on the state line, so part of the city is in Nevada, and part in Utah.) We all had a great time--especially Logan. He LOVES his great-grandma and great-grandpa, and was really sad when it was time to leave.

Weekend with the Family

These are pics of our double birthday celebration at Park City (Ross' dad and my dad share the same birthday), as well as other pictures from our time spent with Ross' sister and dad. I've also included some stragglers that managed to get left out of other posts. :-)

Baby Blessing

Keadon's baby blessing was this past Sunday (Aug. 16th). It was absolutely beautiful. Here are some pics of some of the people who came to the church:

Ross' Graduation

Ross' BYU graduation ceremony was last Friday, and we were blessed to have several family members in attendance. It was especially exciting to have his dad and sister with us since they live in Florida! Ross sang "Blessings" (a.k.a. "Come Thou Fount") in a small choir at the beginning of the ceremony, which sounded great, and then proceeded to play on his iPhone until it was time for his row to walk across the stage. :-)
