Visit with Family--Part 2
While booking our return flight from Florida, I noticed we were scheduled to have a layover in Long Beach. (Why we had to fly to CA to get to UT is beyond me!) So, I decided to see how much it would cost to fly to CA, stay a couple days, and then fly home...it was penny for penny the same price as flying directly from FL to UT! We were so exhausted from all the flying that we didn't visit anyone or really go anywhere except a movie and the mall. It was still fun though!

St. Louis
Last Thursday, we decided to take a last-minute trip to Missouri to visit my grandfather before he passed. He was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer about 6 weeks ago, but unfortunately, his chemo treatments caused severe complications. We certainly had hope he would recover, but we could just feel his time on Earth was coming to an end and decided it was important to be with him and the rest of the family during this time. Sadly, he passed away yesterday morning, but I'm filled with peace knowing he is free from all the pain. I know we'll see him again one day, and I'm grateful for that knowledge. I can't imagine how much more difficult his death would be if I didn't understand God's plan for His children.
